Deadpool Team-up: The Last Issue or Why Over Saturation Sucks!
*Be advised this is more why this sucks than talking about the awesome Scottie Young (he wrote the last issue). It's sad when a good series gets buried under piles of rubbish brought on by mass producing crap books. At the beginning of 2009 Deadpool was everywhere. The bastard version of him in that horrid Wolverine movie (I'm not bitter) sparked [...]
Fear Itself-Book One
Fear Itself is exciting!!! Fear Itself is Action Packed!!! Fear Itself is a Marvel Event that is NOT written by Brian Michael Bendis and that is ok by me. Marvel has been closed lipped about their latest event and I don't really blame them, the past few have turned out to be stinkers. We had the never ending Civil War, the death of Janet [...]
Green Lantern: Emerald Warriors #8 GL Wars Part3
Earlier this evening a friend and I were talking about DC Comic's Green Lantern Series and how it's really good, but the never ending battle that is the life of a Green Lantern was getting tiring; even after Infinite Crisis Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman took off for a year and traveled around the world, but not the unlucky Green Lanterns. Non [...]
Butcher Baker – The Righteuos Maker Issue 1
When I first heard about Butcher Baker, Righteous Maker, I was excited. Joe Casey writing a book about a super hero who cares more about getting laid then saving the world sounded ideal to me. I was expecting a silly book, specially with the cover sporting a man wearing what appears to be a very patriotic Thong with a make shift super hero utility [...]
Marvel Point One Experiment-Uncanny X-Force 5.1
I've decided that I would read all the Marvel Point One series to see if they really do work as a great jumping on point for new readers and today is my first chance to do that with Uncanny X-Force 5.1 . It seems that most people who readMarvel Comics HAVE to be an X-Men fan, which I am not. I know who each of the Characters are, but the only two [...]
Fear Itself-Prologue-Book of the Skull
At first I wanted to write how I found the Fear Itself Prologue unfulfilling and meaningless to the Fear itself storyline...then I realized I didn't know squat about Fear Itself besides the God of Fear is coming to the Marvel Universe. Since I just read a book about the God of Chaos returning to the Marvel Universe (Chaos Wars) I wrongly assumed [...]
DC Comics Weird Worlds #1
DC Comics new mini series Weird Worlds is written just for me. I opened it up anxiously awaiting the stories about Lobo (A personal favorite of mine. What's not to love?? He's a brazen lunatic with a rock hard body and probably knows more things to do in the bedroom than you can think of.....Oh Shut-up! You know you've all thought it!!), Garbage [...]
Catching up with Marvel’s Ultimate Universe
I spent the past few days catching up with Marvel's New Ultimate Universe and it's turing out pretty good! Ever since the Ultimatum left a bad taste in my mouth I would stare longingly at the covers to the Ultimate Comics U and wonder what was going on in the books, but since all Ultimatum turned out to be was a money grabbing gimmick [...]
