Avengers Assemble!

DC's Spirit of Vengeance, who was recently given an animated short film adaptation, is the latest character from DC Comics that may materialize in a live-action television series.

With the end of Smallville's 10-year run on television, DC Comics executives have expressed a desire to delve into its other superhero properties. There was a pilot developed for Aquaman that The CW network decided not to pick up as well as NBC's decision to scrap the recent TV adaption of DC's David Kelley's Wonder Woman (although NBC is stated to be working with Supernatural creator and executive producer Eric Kripke to bring the comic hero Deadman to life for the first time on the small screen.
